More interesting would be to know what locomotives we are looking at.

That's pretty much what I said. We can see the numbers on the second and forth ones from the camera. The number on the third one from the camera is a little more difficult to read. I guess it all depends on what you mean by "know".

I know the 506 is a ex-MILW SD9 Painted in the South Dakota Centennial colors in 1989. The third unit 522 I think is a ex-MILW SD7, The 213 is a ALCO Century. This railroad ran from 1985 to 2006. Hope this helps. Great Picture!
