May have been derelict engines , but from experience , could out-pull or out kick geeps or SD's .

In the mid 1980's there was still an operational WP NW2 in San Fran working the old WP yard there, they still had a few clients, I think it took a while for UP to get a UP engine over the SP line to San Fran to replace it. I never had the time to get pictures unfortunately. Loved the WP thanks for posting the pics.
