What is the reason Amtrak,leased this equipment and where will it be used,if known? Thanks

I know this was a while ago, but i did find out why. Because of all the flooding in New York last year with "Super Storm" Sandy, most of Amtraks' passenger fleet suffered water damage. To free up some Am-fleet coaches for commuter service down by the city, Amtrak took the cars used for the Amtrak Adirondack and sent them down to the city. To replace them, they got these beauties!
