Looking great, Rob. Please correct me if I'm wrong or it's frame was rebuilt also during it's rebuilding; but if I remember from the old Diesel Spotters Guide, didn't the first SD7 have holes in the frame? I shot the engine with the holes in the frame at Roseville in 1978 and was under the impression that it was the first SD made. Anybody know for sure?

Tom, I've searched... I don't see anything that says different. I seem to remember a frame with holes on a unit, but I can't find it either on the www or in my editions of spotting guides.
