I can't decide which is more fascinating-the locomotive or the boxcar! Check out the hand brake wheel on the boxcar. Absolutely dreaded for the person that has to apply it. That would take one hell of a long brake stick in the USA! Also note the dual air hoses between the equipment.

Drivers at both ends of the unit? But even bigger question: three bogies? doesn't that create masive whel and track wear? Whatever, thanks for this fascinating picture.

The center bogie can shift sideways and thus follow the exact alignment of the track. This axle configuration is very common in Japan, and South Korea, Switzerland and the Netherlands have units with similar layouts.
