A very poignant pic and another sad act in the retrenchment of our intercity passenger train network, whether VIA or ONR or ACR. With the same stale argument that passenger trains require government subsidies, which are in fact miniscule compared to the government spending given to other modes. Bus traffic is a major factor in the life of a street, and government spending on roads in this country has ballooned to well over 20 billion dollars/yr. Thanks for posting.
