There was also a lot of work involved in making this stretch of line. Bankings, cuttings, a tunnel and a bridge just in this veiw. Even the river looks a bit rough.Good photo. For those seeking to replicate this view for themselves, be advised that this scene is taken from privately-owned ranch land -- be kind and ask for permission to enter so the kind folks won't shut the door on all us photographers.
