sweet shot, brings me back to the days of chasing fresh super sevens up the Manor branch

This is what a Super-7 looks like when it eats its spinach!

Kind of a plain and simple paint scheme but very nice! I think these NS Heritage Units are great. Great work Norfolk Southern!

Super shot! This was definitely a surprise!

Awesome job NS!

Now, hook that thing up to the Conrail, and haul coal around Pennsylvania! This does look like what Monongahela would purchase if they where still around! NS, wow, what a great job with these heritage units!

I like the way Norfolk Southern does their heritage units compared to those of Union Pacific. The only way you know it is an NS is by the small letters above or below the numbers. UP on the other hand slaps large UP letters in front of the unit numbers and, quite often, puts their shield on the nose or elsewhere on the unit. I like NS better.

Great looking loco! Thanks again NS and the ES44AC in place of the SUPER 7 on the side of the hood is a nice touch.

Now NS just needs to send it home to western PA to haul coal. Looks great.

Now there's a long forgotten paint scheme! The Monongahela was a great railroad, great job keeping it alive NS!

Another home run NS. Would have preferred a 70 ACe to the GE product.

I have to agree with Dave Doty Sr. Besides you just don't see that many new Monongahela, or NYC units out there!

great picture NS I love these Heritage's

Amazing! Thanks NS for bringing back some great memories...

The only thing about the UP heritage units is that having the reporting marks prominently displayed, nobody gets confused as to what engine they're looking at. Not all people on the railroad are foamers, so larger reporting marks come in handy.

Most of us that worked out here were able to tell the difference between an NW2 and an ES44AC. I expect we could have figured out this was an NS unit.
