Great photo, Steve. The best part of this shot is the inclusion of the distant bridge over US 95 at the bottom of Lapwai Canyon -- there is hardly a better way of conveying just how high the line climbed in such a short distance.

A bunch of the wooden trestle line in that area burned up a year or so ago...I live in the area. that canyon trestle system has been part of my life forever. amazing to see in person when the locos still ran on it. it's been 10 years or so since it was last used. a couple movies have been filmed on it over the years...
