I was a truck driver for 38 years both local and cross country. I used to think that the rail roads were taking my job away from me, but then I realised that instead of just one driver with the RR's there are two drivers involved. One pick up driver to bring the load to the railhead and another to deliver the load to the consignee. It is much better this way and the drivers can be home nights with thier families instead of out overloading our highways.
