I doubt that this clock has a claim to be the most iconic clock. Try Carnforth, U.K. and the film "Brief Encounter". In fact when I was in Grand Central last month I never even noticed the clock. It is still a good photo, especially if you look at the people on the concourse.

I've never heard of Carnforth or that film, but I have to agree with Craig that this is one of the most iconic/recognizable clocks in railroading. I guess we'll have to wait for the official report.

"Brief Encounter" (1945) is a British film about a woman who meets a stranger in a railway station and is tempted to cheat on her husband. So, to clarify ... I should have said, "What may be the most iconic clock in American railroading..."
