I didn't realize that the D&RGW was still around in 2004 (and I live very close to Denver).

To expound on Curiuos142’s comment: Officially, the Rio Grande didn’t exist in 2004; But, the last Rio Grande locomotives still lettered and numbered for the “Rebel of the Rockies” gathered in Helper, Utah long after the SP and UP mergers, and it was by no accident (and it’s a long story). The spirit of the Rio Grande lived on longer than most expected on dirty dirt trains out of Helper, and I hope my labeling this as a Rio Grande SD40T-2 doesn’t confused anyone too much.
