The EL was always my favorite of the pre-Conrail roads, although the LV was a close second. Pretty good lookin' mainline, especially for that close to the end. IIRC, this is all a trail now, isn't it? Bummer.

EL served International Car in Kenton, OH so that UP caboose is probably out for delivery to its new owner.

I love this! It's one of not many photos of the area back when the railroad was there. I visited this spot recently, and it's taken on County Road 400S at Disko. Until 1984, there was a jog in the road and a wooden bridge crossing over the tracks. Nowadays, it's been filled and the road you see in the distance crosses straight through now. The cut is still there, and it's really deep! So sad to see how unrecognizable this area is now.
