They have spent years shot-blasting and repainting the whole structure.I believe they have only just completed it.It was a mammoth job. The scaffolding required was an extraordinary feat in its own right.They blasted right back to the original metal,removing decades of overpainting.They then repainted with a paint that is supposed to be able to last 25 years plus. We shall see!!!! For environmental reasons they shrouded every area they shotblasted with a hermetic surround so that no shot/lead paint debris escaped into the water below.Must have be a dreadful job.
