Nice shot here, and a quick question, that gantlet track in the foreground is that for a scale or some other purpose?

Thanks! The gauntlet track is for high and wide loads that PW or Amtrak may have in their consist. Because there is a platform on Track 3 in Old Saybrook, trains need to be able to come away from the platform so they do not his the platform.
