Why did they take it apart, I thought they'd continue running it for CP? Does anybody know what happened to the other units used in the movie?

They didn't take the locomotives apart. This was just a mockup of the cab, probably used for closeups or stunts.

Ya, it is definitely a mockup. The cab is proportionate enough.

Elchlok, the units returned to CP and are currently in service. 767 is CP 9758, and 777 is CP 9777

Note that this cab has both high and low numberboards.
