Man I loved watching her go by at Wuahatchie. I wasn't the only one up there too. Anyway this was a test run, suppost to be a "hush hush run" Also loved that it was on my birthday too. When she pulled in Valley Head later that night I got there & when I did the guys said "Well there's colt the kid that railfans us in Fort Payne every day!" they also said happy birthday to me. All I can say is... Best... Birthday... Ever!!!

Looking at whatever kind of signal transmission tower that is brings to mind the 20th century - steam age to electronic age.

Great shot! We go to Fort Payne quite often to catch NS trains goint North and South. What a site it must have been to see steam in its glory days' and be able to see her from the old hotel that once stood aross the street from the area that was once the old stockade in town there in Fort Payne.
