Pretty neat! Casey's putting in a lot of travel lately! :)

For some reason, this paint scheme IS retro, but it adapts well to the modern lines of this ES44AC.
Technically speaking, this is the best roster shot yet...better angle (slightly nosier), clean foreground and pretty good background, well exposed. I know at this location the sun is high by the time you get nose light this time of year, so it's a compromise. Nose light trumps high sun and the trucks are still pretty well lit, so this one's a winner!
There'll be no mistaking when this one's coming down the track...WOW! What a paint scheme.
It's very plain, so I like it a lot! As true to the original scheme as possible. Great work by the paint shop and nice shooting as always Casey.
Simple elegance!!!!! Thanks again NS and to the folks at Chattanooga (Altoona too!) for this program and to Casey for continued great photography!!
Thanks for taking time to post the Heritage units makes a stock holder proud.
My favorite unit so far, even above the SOU unit! Way to go NS! Send it through the Piedmont Division!
Didn't the Interstate RR have a logo? Where was this rr located?
I've been looking for this one since the heritage program was announced, since the Interstate's RS3s looked so snappy in the scheme, and were always kept clean. I agree this "retro" scheme looks modern, so much so that it reminds me of one of those South American heavy mining roads, with current GE models, of today. Super-sharp!

WOW!

The colors on the engine give it that wow factor. Way to go Norfolk Southern. Im mostly a western railroader, but man I am loving these units.
Just amazing. Another winner, NS!

Another one well done ... great work NS.

There's another winner. Nice work Chattanooga!
Now the question is, where is the engine with number 8104?
Only one locomotive could beat this engine that is the Penn Central. I hope they do it with the Orange P and Red C
Wow! This unit has now displaced the Southern unit as my favorite. Thanks NS and Casey.

Simple and elegant...Nice Job.

This one was easily number one on my list for the heritage units. I've always loved that 'Creamsicle' scheme! Thanks again NS and Casey.

The Southern and the Central of Georgia are by FAR the best two yet! This new interstate isnt bad but with no logo of anykind.......too plain.

Excellent! The way these classic paint jobs seem to fit modern units is fascinating!
I like it! Reminds me of Illinois Central Gulf's paint scheme.

OMG< looks like I will be in Andover, Appalachia, Norton, as soon as this engine is........ That is one COOL Locomotive. Thank You NS For Sure
Another winner NS! I love how the colors look on this one, can't wait to see the others.
Simple and perfect. I loved this photo:

now I get to see it in a modern light!
I second the notion that it looks ICGish. Kind of a two for one, you get to see what a modern Interstate unit and kind of get to see what a modern ICG engine would look like.
The interstate heritage is born again with new paint great picture.

That is one good looking locomotive. Count me as a new Interstate fan. Thanks again to Norfolk Southern for making this and the other heritage units possible.
This unit and the "original" NS are the best so far. Hope to see them both going through Indiana sometime.
