Was this GP40 a former Rio Grande/Southern Pacific unit? The number and font are clues to a possible former identity.

Unit is ex-D&RGW #3086, was repainted into SP colors after the buyout.

Glad to see you on here with this one, Dr Loco, a fitting photo for your profession! The cab and trees were lit up with a different type of light than the motor. This really shows the color of an LED flashlight.
