As far as I know the CN was the only RR to order the C44-9W with the elongated windshields, every other class 1 RR ordered them with the rectangular windshields. Leading me to believe this was one on the last C44-9W's made, hence the AAR control stand.

All of CNs C44-9Ws had the AAR control stand.
