Hi James... This is a beautiful photo that stirs up some wonderful memories of a very pleasurable trip I made on the Rio Grande Zephyr back in 1980. I rode it from Denver to Salt Lake City and return with a stopover in Helper. That train was FIRST CLASS in every way and the people and food were excellent! My only regret is that I didn't make at least one more trip on the Zephyr before she left us to join Amtrak. Thanks for the memories and thanks for all the classic and current photos you share with us on a regular basis... I always enjoy viewing your latest submissions! Merry Christmas to you and yours!
