The single louver behind the rear porthole, identifies Milwaukee 36A as the first of six, 1961-built E9s, that were built new at the factory, (EMD/LaGrange,) with head-end power sets. The others were 36C, 37A, 37C, 38A and 36C.

Their power looked like junk way longer than this. What a sad outfit.

That three way turnout in the foreground caught my eye as well. Looks like a double right hand , to cool!

MILW 33C is at the Illinois Railway Museum and it looks as bad as the engines you see here today.
