I believe that while almost all of the FEC's diesels had the lettering in yellow or silver either above or below the yellow stripe, the SW1200's had almost this exact version with the black lettering centered on the middle stripe.

While I'm SURE this must cost more to apply than perhaps the "blue dip" scheme, It CERTAINLY DOES IMPROVE VISIBILITY. Surely no-one will be able to say they "didn't see it." It certainly would be nice to see more "Heritage-based" paint schemes, like this, the KCS "Belles," and CTDOT's "New Haven" units.
