What a nice surprise! I think I've read in some railroad magazine that some (how many?) of these engines are back in operation for a private operator. I'd be happy to know on which trains and is they have a regular schedule.

Brian, it appears that the train that you have recently captured along the Rhine is the so called “Henkel Zug”. It is run by the BayernBahn GmbH. This freight rain is loaded with washing powder and other products from the Henkel Company. This train is alternatively hauled by the 194 178 from Rail4U and by the recently overhauled E94 192 from the Nördlingen railway museum. This train is currently very popular amongst the German rail fans. I have no idea about the schedule of the train.
