What about this locomotive makes it stand out from the rest of it's SD70ACe cousin's?

Its Tier 3 compliant now.

I see...no difference, except for the nice paint job.

Can't tell if it's Batman or something out of Transformers, but nonetheless it looks pretty cool.

This is ugliest locomotive I have ever seen. EMD definitely needs somebody like Raymond Loewy or Otto Kuhler.

I suppose EMD wants it to stand out, which it certainly does! Great photo Douglas!

It's quite a nice paint scheme! Good catch Douglas!

Electro-Motive on display sure is a sight for sore eyes! What's with the chains on the steps? EMD always allowed public access via the FRA-Compliant steps, so long as the kids did not climb on the carbody, we were welcome. It sure is cool watching the general public tour a locomotive!

You can't 'see' a difference because the only thing that is different is the engine. Doing a little research goes a long way...

It's tier 3 compliant, with it being able to be upgraded to tier 4.

Wow, what a winner, Douglas! Love the paint - too bad it's probably too expensive for anyone to copy it. Also, in looking at some of the other shots of SD70ACe's in the web site, it would appear that the notch in the nose is different than any of the other closeup shots seen here. Just a thought, but check it out - maybe I'm wrong, but it seems different.

Anyone who thinks its ugly should look at a UK CLass 70 from GE, THATS ugly! I think these EMD's look cool, purposeful and dam right brutal.

Forget the Locomotive, I want one of those Balloons !

I would settle for the cool poster displayed in front of the locomotive.

She's a beauty. Why can't GE use paint schemes like this to showcase their locos?

Maybe because it's roughtly a $50,000 paint job, according to someone at EMD...
