Nice Photo. Should look nice when finished.

Pure sacrilege. Why couldn't it remain black with "Chesapeake & Ohio"? This looks like a side-show attraction. (no disrespect to the photographer, however, as the image is just fine)

What, you've never wanted to see a Southern 4-8-4? Well it's close...

Is she ever actually going to run? Is she even in running condition or is she just going to be a really big advertisement?

Has she been refurbushed and in running order???? Please tell me that this is true!?!? Dose Ross have anything to do with this???

The engine is not serviceable. This is for advertizing purposes only. A billboard would have been a better choice though, rather than erasing the 614's identity like this. Sad times for C&O fans.

I have mixed feelings over this repainting, if the engine was going to be run on the Express and that was the reason behind the repainting that would be one thing, but the billboard role 614 is going to play just seems wrong.

I too much prefer a black 614 over the green she's been selected to wear. The silver lining to this cloud is at least she's getting some necessary maintenance and some fresh paint to protect her. She still looks good no matter how she's adorned!

I went there once. I really wish it retained its C&O or Chessie System paint scheme. By the way, that's a beautiful shot of the Appalachians.
