WOW ! My wife & I spent several late night hours in this station years ago making the connection from the westbound Rio Grande Zephyr to the Pioneer (late) enroute to Seattle. The station was well kept then, but looked NOTHING LIKE this degree of elegance. Looks just a bit odd though without the long oak "pews" that used to be in the center of the floor.

Beautiful interior. I stopped here when it was still in use by Amtrak in 1985. Watching them break apart the California Zephyr and reassemble it into three different trains was a lot of fun.

I'll second Dennis's remark. A welcome addition to the database on RP. I've seen both stations but never knew access was possible. Must have really been a site to see in it's heyday, full of passengers and benches.
