What a sad scene. I planned to make a trip up there to shoot the tower, but I never got around to it. I guess it is just another opportunity that I missed out on. Nice job documenting the tower in its final day.

You've done a great job documenting Ridgely over the years. I did the same with many of my local towers in Cincinnati and it is always sad to see it coming to an end. I hope you are able to document Ridgely's final day when it comes. Good luck!

Great catch, Matt. Looks like they had already pulled the stairs off of the back of the tower. Another piece of railroad history only survives in pictures.
