Nice shot Chris. I rather like the 18's new look.

Cool consist, but I like 18 better with the Rio Grande lettering on the tender!

I understand that the 18 will soon wear more of an IC look to match its trainset.

I don't care how they paint her, anyone with such an ambitious operation who keeps steam on the mainline is okay in my books. Can't wait to visit this line one day! Great vid too!

Yes, it's great to have steam on a line that was pretty difficult to railfan under D&RGW ownership. But that paint job is downright weird. Nice capture, though.

Reminds me of a reproduction hot rod. Looks great to everyone but the purists. Still, an IC inspired train in La Jara, CO is definitely out place, though perhaps no more so then a 2-8-0 from Lake Superior and Ishpeming. Wish I had a chance to shoot her while she handsomely wore D&RG colors. Nice shot, Chris.

Hey Chris - is that the former SOU "Lookout Mountain" at the far end of the train?

Mark - yep, it is. Those two coaches behind the IC obs car are former Southern as well.
