I love the high hood on point. I also thought he second unit was a U-boat until I realized the 4 trucks. What kind of unit is that?

Nice shot Joe! I grew up in this area back in the 70's and remember seeing similar power sets between West Colton and LA. My all time favorite was a westbound TOFC train hustling through El Monte with a SW1500 on the point followed by a DD35B. Another favorite was an eastbound hauler crawling through City of Industry with a GE U33C on the point in run 8 followed by a dead GP9 and a very long mixed train. It almost made it out of the city limits before stalling on the main... between sidings.
