The 'L' stands for Loyola High School. The 'M' also doubles for Montana, as in University of Montana, which is located at the base of the mountain and where I just graduated from.

Just like they are supposed to, I see they put a box car between the engines and the tankers as a diffuser.

Really nice pic Justin ... @cabman ... The box car carries supplies that they might need in an emergency ... shovels, snow plows etc ... They had a nice article in TRAINS about the MRL Gas Local :-)
