Wow what a sweet sweet sight for sore eyes! Arguably America's most iconic locomotive model of all time seen here in 2011 gleaming in new paint for one of America's most iconic railroads is truely outstanding!

Nick, you spent a month's worth of "railfan's luck" for this shot, but you purchased wisely! Thanks for sharing.

My favorite railroad and my favorite engine!! Welcome back to the 80's, but I sure do wish they had the silver trucks.

You probably won't see them that clean ever again. I bet the sound was just as good as the sight!

What a sight, great to see the UP SD40-2's out and about again, even better that they are snoot nose variants. Great shot!

Those look great! They almost look brand new. I hope I can catch these coming through Minnesota soon!

Excellent catch and shot Nick. But to me, put the main credit where it's due - "Thanks, Union Pacific!"

UP 1550 is the first of possibly 500 refurbed - note all 4 sport air conditioners - which many did not have. Prior identities of these (in your sequence) were UP 3411, 3349, 3654, and 3295.
