Thank you for this great photo. I was lucky enough to ride the TEE Gottardo between Zurich and Milan in 1971. I spent most of the trip sitting behind the cab watching through the windshield. A few months before I took the Trans Europ Express to Munich a few days after a TEE wreck. The crew were very sad having lost friends in the accident. Returning from Munich a few nights later we slowly passed the locomotive, still laying on its side, but burning. I never found out how it caught on fire, but I will never forget the sight of flames pouring from the windshield.
