During some bridge work on the coastline,Amtrak's #11&14 made several trips on this route recently,some PV owners were quick to take advantage of it.

I was on a PRS trip in the early eighties over this route, my memory is failing, But I think it was in 1983.

I'll have to look into that but as far as I know, 4449 & this special are the only special public passenger moves made over the cutoff.
