The Pullman-Standard built stainless steel-sheathed coach, at the lower left of the photo, came to the N&W with the Wabash merger. The Wabash got the car from the Maine Central. At least of its type had its corrugated sides replaced by flat Cor-Ten steel, painted N&W/Wabash blue, but it retained the stainless steel roof in lieu of using silver paint there. Congratulations on your posting milestone Tom!

Tom, I'm glad that during my earliest years of railfanning I was able to come up around "old school" guys like you, TL, and Felix. You all certainly get credit for just about everything I know! Thanks to Tom and Chris both for their efforts in getting these classics posted up for all to see. Another great shot, congratulations!
