Ahh yes, the approach to O-Hare Airport via York Road. Having worked in that area for many years I can honostly say the planes are so low you can practically touch them while your fillings are rattling loose in your head!!

This reminds me of the Buffalo and DC where you can see planes going into and out of Dulles,Reagan, and BWI and Buffalo international respectively. Your pictures take the cake Laurence18, I have never shot planes in a photo nor have I ever seen them this close. Keep up the good work and keep em coming.

This seems like a very well traveled section of track not to have welded continuous rail. Either way, its a great catch of just amazing horsepower and the generations of technologies in getting there!

@ Steve Star: Hey my man, there are two signs in this pic on each side of the tracks facing north right there by them wooden stairs. What do they say? Every time I pass there going south on York Road I try to slow down enough to read them but can't. If you can tell me it would save me the embarrassment of stopping my truck right on the road and going to look at it and have somebody mad at me cause my curiosity is so strong for that sigh! Thank you
