The model designation for CN 6705 should be CPA16-5, as the last digit indicates the number of axles, not motors. It's odd, B-A1A, wheel arrangement, was also available on FM's 2000 and 2400 h.p. C-Liners (as well EMDs FL-9,) but only CN had the FM (CLC in this case) 1600 h.p. unit mounted on five-axles, and the only five-axle B-units from any manufacturer.

Fantastic. Always loved the look of the FMs, but never got to see one 'live'. Just a great shot.

Used to see C-Liners on the Long Island when I was a kid, but these are much classier. Excellent shot of some rare units.
