Great image of a solid set of green units. While the green looked nice when fresh, it faded badly and the tried and true color or mineral red (ore) stood the test of time and is my preferred color for the LS&I (ala DM&IR). The BN GEs had the same problem.

Very nice shot of classic LS&I! It seems so hard to believe that this was once a common occurrence in Upper Michigan. As long as you could get the weather to cooperate and somehow manage to hold steady while the black flies and mosquitoes attacked you...shots like this were there for the taking-)
