You can never have enough PC, accept, I suppose, in 1971! Nice catch, George.

It's those two L&N E units on the right that caught my eye in George's photo. The Chicago-Florida "South Wind" service would be restored as a through train by Amtrak, instead of a connecting serbvioce via Louisville, KY, starting operation out of the IC's lakefront Central Station on May 1. It is for that assignment, that the freshly-painted L&N units are in town.

They'll probably kick me out of the PRRTHS for saying this, but, the dark olive green paint scheme that PC applied to only some of its passenger cars actually looked pretty good when it was fresh and clean, especially on the ex-PRR sleepers. Its a shame they never painted a set of Es to match.

A photo of PC and L&N in the same shot is something that we really don't see that often. Well, I suppose only in Chicago. Excellent job George.
