Judging from the greyish color of those loads Joe I'd say what you've got here is a trainload of BFT, Blast Furnance Trim. Natural ore would have a definite red tint or color to it, as opposed to the greyish color of these loads. Also, IIRC at the time of this shot most if not all natural ore was routed thru Two Harbors and would have been over on the Iron Range side.
