Nice catch, and thanks for the info. Seems a rather prized usable piece to simply donate for static display (though I'm sure the IRM will be a good home and it may even get to see some use on the Museum's tracks). The good news is that the GCR seems receptive to running former CB&Q #4960. Question is, what's happening with it's desire to sell SP&S 2-8-2 #539? Likely worth too much to donate.

Saw this guy roll back and forth in front of the Galesburg, Il Amtrak station while we were waiting for the afternoon's (01/03/11) eastbound SW Chief, making up what is the consist that rolled before you. I had my cameras tucked away and thought to burn the image in my memory. No need, as the day is represented here in your photo! Thanks for posting!
