As a railroad bridge engineer that has a healthy respect for heights, but not an outright fear, this section of track scored me a prime spot on the end platform of a caboose in a photo special. Up to this point I had been riding in the doorway, but when we went through the cut at Rockland and headed out along the cliff the woman on the cliff side of the caboose platform blanched and quickly departed the spot she had been standing in. With no other takers I gladly took the position. The view was amazing, and yes, there is no room to spare with only a foot or two from the end of the tie to the edge of the cliff. I will try to post a photo, though unfortunately the quality isn't that great...
