The hashed markers on the side of DMIR 193 look far better than the sholid yellow on the DMIR 403. Great shot.

Winter was my favorite time of the year on the C&NW. That is when DM&IR would lease its venerable SD9's to work on the system and once in a while, one would venture to Chicago for us to marvel at! Great shot.

The Lake Superior Railroad Museum had sent her down to Horicon, Wi to get brand new wheels in June, and she had just returned, and was awaiting interchange.
