Notice that the New York Central lettering font remains on the cab-side numerals on the 3044, even though the unit otherwise has the full Penn Central paint job, which would call for Helvetica Medium type style there.

I actually liked the color in the PC logo on the trailing unit. But, nothing PC related was better than all the logos that eventually fell to become Conrail
