Classy looking tarp.
My opinion of UP has not changed much over the years - the Devil, the evil empire that seems to swallow up everything,etc...but I have to say they certainly keep us photographers chasing when it comes to specially painted locomotives.

Best picture ever of a tarp with wheels. Well composed.

Everyone loves to rag on UP, but, strictly from the naive perspective of a foamer photographer, they're doing a heck of a lot more for railfans than any other railroad. Their power almost always matches, they've got more special liveries than all of the other Class I's combined, two mainline steam locomotives that run on a regular basis, Operation Lifesaver Specials, the list goes on...

Makes you wonder what is under there...

Don't get your hopes up, fellas. It's probably going to be another GEVO with the standard paint scheme plastered with random decals as with UP2010.
So what's the paint scheme?
Apparently it's a locomotive for "Susan G. Komen for the Cure", and will most likely have some sort of pink theme/decals.
A Pink Ribbon breast cancer awareness locomotive is awesome! Way to step up for another cause (United Way) Union Pacific!
I really enjoy seeing UP's Heritage & Special Units. It's great they are creating awareness, showing support, and giving us rail fans more eye candy. I can’t wait to see what this bad boy looks like. Secondly, I agree with Nicholas Benson, stop ragging on UP, they are one of the best, if not the best class 1 railroad in the US.

I guess Greg has been myopic in regard to his railroad observation. UP isn't the only road to grow by acquisition. That's how the business is: grow, die, or become a meal for another road.
I know what's painted on UP'S 7400. Can anybody guess.
It's a pink ribbon.. already saw a pic of this unit uncovered on another website
If want to see what it is just go UP'S main website. Click on the lasted news it's the first link on the page.
