Nice picture,Mike. It's a refreshing change from the usual glamour shots of over restored F units.From the looks of the units and the general background,it tells me that at one time F units could get down and earn a living.I'm going to save this picture and use it for a modeling project.

These girls were no excursion line special, today several have had a second lease on life doing such. But in 1992 these units were used by the B&LE on the Western Allegheny Branch due to the curves on the branch. The Bessemer known for heavy 6 axle power saved several F7s just for this reason. These units in 92 were near the end of their lives on the B&LE soon they would be replaced by SD7s and in shortly after that the WARR branch would be abandoned. Great catch and a great loco to model…

Wow, the history in these units is unbelievable. Only if they could talk.
