I don't get the comment about "four axle power"..SDs are 6-axle units.

What he is saying is maybe they normally used 4 axle power because someone figured this might happen if they used SD's.

Old SD's with stiff trucks and tight curves do not work well..

CN management knows everything...if the computer says a 2000 hp unit is required. Besides, all 2000 hp units are the same and you don't question the computer, much less management...

As was pointed out to me, it is possibly an issue with maintenance, a lack of lube in the center plate, where the truck pivots at the chassis.
