So many different comments come to me - I can re-quote my original comment on your earlier image submitted November 10th, 2009 and taken 17 minutes earlier, but this is a completely different angle and composition. The light is different, the camera settings were different. Simply and utterly fantastic. Extreme envy, Tom. PC #1, again all the way. PS - Get that SC button fixed!

In a vast scene such as this, there is one great quality about steam locomotives - they make their where abouts known! Nice photo!

HAH! I instantly though China when I saw this thumbnail. Great to see 21st century steam in America doing its best to impersonate a (sootier) bygone era of railroading.

Super shot! Besides the obvious lighting and plume, I like how the silhouette foreground adds depth and contrast.
