It always supprises me that these crews sometimes look like their going away for a week. Look at the size of that case! Im guessing it can only be a 12 hour shift max?

Keep in mind that the crew could be far from home after that 12 hour shift. There could be a hotel stay involved here.

Rule books, food and drink, possible wet or cold weather jacket. My cab bag is similair in size. Food, rule books and hazardous goods code books, train and track information bulletins, sheepskin for my seat, sleeveless cold weather jacket or sleeveless oil skin jacket, etc and all for a 11 hour there and back job.

12 hours one way, God knows how long in a hotel at the other end, then 12 hours back. It's like a weekend getaway every time you go to work!

Thanks for giving me a bit more of an insight guys, I suppose the night or two away plus lots of literature would account for all that gear!
