GM&O painted units look great no matter who owns them, and no matter how filthy dirty they are! Good catch.

Sid, I like the term well worn dignity. I would say New Haven FL9s had well worn dignity. 635 seems to be riding on Alco trucks. It could be an RS-3 in sheep’s clothing. On the other hand Maine Central had U-18-Bs riding on EMD trucks.

These were built with Alco trucks salvaged off of FA-1 tradeins to EMD when they were originally purchased by GM&O
